“This is my bus. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My bus is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my bus is useless. Without my bus, I am useless. I must steer my bus true. I must drive straighter than my fellow vagabond who is trying to discover more than me. I must out-drive him before he out-drives me. I will...

My bus and I have love knowing what counts in bus-life is not the miles we drive, the noise of the engine, nor the diesel we burn. We know that it is the smiles that count. We will smile...

My bus is human, even as I, because it is my life. Thus, I will learn it as a brother. I will learn its weaknesses, its strength, its parts, its accessories, its sights and its mechanics.

I will keep my bus clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready. We will become part of each other. We will...

Before God, I swear this creed. My bus and myself are the travelers of my country. We are the discoverers of our journey. We are the saviors of life. So be it, until there is no enemy, but peace. Amen.”
— The Busman's Creed / Full Metal Bus

Nine years ago - March 4, 2009 - I set out to walk 2,183 miles from Georgia to Maine along the Appalachian Trail.

  • I started that hike because of a book, Into the Wild. A book that changed my view of life.
  • During that hike, I discovered a book, The Alchemist. A book that changed my life.

Three years ago - March 4, 2015 - Skoolie Love became an idea turned lifestyle.

Two years ago, March 4-6, 2016 The SkoolieLove Bus was Featured at the New Jersey Home Show.

This year, for March 4, 2018 I would like to send out new intentions and goals into the Universe.

  • I fully explored the "Skoolie" aspect - building a home then driving miles, delivering smiles
  • Now, I would like to explore the deepest depths of love. Complete SkoolieLove!
“You can only become truly accomplished at something you love. Don’t make money your goal. Instead pursue the things you love doing and then do them so well that people can’t take their eyes off of you.”
- Maya Angelou

”Love. Fall in love and stay in love. Write only what you love, and love what you write. The key word is love. You have to get up in the morning and write something you love, something to live for.”
- Ray Bradbury

Writing is my passion and I try to become better at it every day, so I write a ton.

I would love to share it with a larger audience, so i'll be sending the fist 27 pages + Synopsis of my Bus Travel Memoir to the Pacific Northwest Writers' Association Writing Contest by March 23. It will hopefully emerge as a contender and lead to finding an agent/editor and hopefully a publisher.

It’s a little bit funny, this feeling inside
I’m not one of those who can easily hide, I
Don’t have much money but boy, if I did
I’d buy a BIG BUS where we both could live

If I was a sculptor but then again, no
Or a man who makes potions in a traveling show
Oh, I know it’s not much but it’s the best I can do
My gift are my words
And these one’s are for you

And you can tell everybody these are your words
They may be quite simple but now that it’s done
I hope you don’t mind
I hope you don’t mind
That I put down in words
How wonderful life is while you’re in the world
